We've been to the zoo, zoo, zoo (Part 2)

Our second trip to the zoo was the following Wednesday (April 29th) with our friend Kelly and her family (visiting from Michigan) and Jennie and her family (Mark wasn't able to come as he had to work). Owen (Jennie's son) and Jimmy (Kelly's son) are the same age as Henry and we're all SunBabies!

So we all met at Brookfield Zoo and had a blast. After lunch (and a visit with the ducks!) we saw the bears (both polar and grizzly):

Then we hit The Swamp where Henry was entranced by the crocodile (alligator? I can't remember!). We had to go back for multiple visits.

The otters were all-around mesmerizing:

We visited the jungle and some fantastic primates, but I didn't pull out the camera at all! Then we were off to the South American shores where the fish were beautiful and, once again, mesmerizing! Henry spent a lot of time chatting to them and darting around trying to follow them. This penguin was a particular character he loved:

We hit the playground and then realized we were shutting down the zoo (a zoo employee came 'round to make sure we were leaving! Yeah, we're that cool.) and the kids were getting ready for dinner and bed. Jimmy got a head start:

After a final round of pictures, we went our separate ways.

An awesome day and we'll definitely go back! And it was great to get a chance to meet up with an out-of-town and an in-town friend (both of whom are due in July!).
